Sweden recognises church of file sharing as a religion

A group of 3,000 Swedish file sharers have succeeded in getting their organisation, called the Church of Kopimism, recognised as a religion by the Swedish authorities. Kopimism holds CTRL+C and CTRL+V as sacred symbols. The movement has been trying to gain official recognition for their beliefs in sharing and data copying since 2010. Major security hole in SAP’s NetWeaver

The Russian security expert Alexander Polyakov of ERPScan has presented a security hole in SAP’s J2EE engine, NetWeaver, which allows an attacker to create new administrator accounts remotely. Polyakov demonstrated the hole at the Black Hat security conference in Las Vegas. PlayStation Network temporarily shut after attack

Sony has confirmed on the official PlayStation Blog that it turned off the PlayStation Network (PSN) and Qriocity services on Wednesday 20 April after there had been an “external intrusion” which affected the services. The company says it needs to have the systems offline while it is conducting an investigation. As of writing, the systems are still unavailable. RSA break-in: it was the Flash Player’s fault

On its company blog, RSA has released details about the server break-in it reported about two weeks ago. According to Uri Rivner, head of the company’s “Consumer Identity Protection” division, the intruders used a backdoor that they installed using infected emails.
